Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Centra Path mobile application or related services (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
The Service is operated by Salvador Garibay Media LLC ("we," "us," "our"), based in New York City, New York, USA.
2. The Service
Centra Path is a mobile application that helps individuals organize their job search. The Service is delivered through a native iOS app backed by web infrastructure operated by us. An Android release is planned but is not part of this release.
2.1 Core features (free)
- Application tracking: track companies, roles, application status (saved, applied, interview, offer), salary information, job descriptions, and private notes for each opportunity.
- Document vault: upload, store, and organize resumes and cover letters with version control and tagging.
- Career profile: create and maintain a profile with your name, contact information, location, work experience, education, skills, professional headline, summary, LinkedIn URL, portfolio URL, and optional profile photo.
- Reminders: set manual reminders for follow-ups, thank-you notes, interview preparation, and other job search tasks.
- Job matching: browse and match against available roles.
- Timeline and history: append-only timeline of all events associated with each application (status changes, interviews scheduled, notes added, documents attached).
2.2 Pro features (subscription tier)
- AI Career Coach (powered by OpenAI's language models), comprising three tools:
- Resume Review: structured feedback on your resume against a specific role.
- Cover Letter Customizer: a tailored starting draft for any job description.
- Interview Prep: practice questions for an upcoming interview.
- Automated reminders: reminders automatically triggered based on application activity and timeline events.
- Priority support: expedited support for Pro subscribers.
2.3 Service changes
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We will give reasonable notice of major changes when feasible.
3. Your account
To use most features you must create an account with a valid email address. By creating an account you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Keep your account information up to date
- Not share your account with others or let anyone else sign in to your account
- Notify us promptly if you suspect your account has been compromised
You may delete your account at any time from the in-app Settings. Account deletion is permanent.
4. Subscriptions and billing
4.1 Free and Pro tiers
Centra Path offers a free tier (basic application tracking, document storage, manual reminders, and job matching) and a Pro tier, which unlocks the AI Career Coach (resume review, cover letter customizer, and interview prep), plus automated reminders and priority support.
4.2 Standard subscriptions
Pro is available as an auto-renewing subscription at $14.99 per month or $79.99 per year. Subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store and are subject to its billing policies. We use RevenueCat to verify subscription status.
4.2.1 Free trial
Both the monthly and annual Pro plans include a 14-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial period. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the trial automatically converts to a paid auto-renewing subscription at the price listed above, and your payment method is charged at that time. The trial is limited to one per user or account. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
4.3 Cancellation
You may cancel an auto-renewing subscription, or a free trial, at any time through your Apple ID account settings. Cancelling during the trial prevents any charge, provided you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Cancellation of a paid subscription takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide refunds for partial periods, except where required by law.
4.4 Price changes
We may change subscription pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers continue at their current price for the duration of their billing cycle.
5. Your content
You retain full ownership of all content you submit to the Service — your profile data, work history, education, skills, application data, documents you upload, notes, and reminders ("Your Content").
By submitting Your Content, you grant us a limited license to:
- Display Your Content back to you within the Service
- Process Your Content through third-party services (such as OpenAI) when you trigger features that require it
- Store Your Content on our infrastructure for as long as your account is active
We do not use Your Content to train AI models, sell it to third parties, or share it for advertising purposes. When you delete your account, Your Content is deleted from our systems within 30 days.
6. AI Career Coach
Centra Path's Pro tier includes the AI Career Coach, powered by large language models (currently OpenAI's GPT-4o-mini). It comprises three tools: Resume Review, Cover Letter Customizer, and Interview Prep.
AI-generated content is provided "as is" and is not professional career advice. The suggestions, scores, and outputs are based on statistical models and may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or recommendations unsuited to your specific situation. You should review AI-generated content critically before applying it.
We do not guarantee that AI-generated suggestions will lead to any specific outcome, including but not limited to: interview invitations, job offers, salary improvements, or career advancement.
7. Prohibited conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable law
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, other users' accounts, or the data of others
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service
- Scrape, harvest, or otherwise collect data from the Service through automated means
- Upload content that is unlawful, harassing, defamatory, infringing, obscene, or harmful
- Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
- Use the Service in any manner that could disable, overburden, damage, or impair it
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit access to the Service without our written permission
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these provisions, with or without notice.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure against all threats, or that the results obtained from using the Service will be accurate or reliable.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall Salvador Garibay Media LLC, its operators, founders, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
Our total liability for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service is limited to the greater of: (a) the total fees you have paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars ($100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the extent permitted by law.
10. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Salvador Garibay Media LLC and its operators, founders, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:
- Your use or misuse of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any rights of any third party
- Any content you submit to the Service
11. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time through in-app Settings.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms, if your account remains inactive for more than 24 consecutive months, or if we cease to operate the Service.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. The following provisions survive termination: 4 (billing for unpaid amounts), 5 (content ownership), 8 (disclaimer), 9 (liability), 10 (indemnification), and 12 (governing law).
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association in New York County, New York, in accordance with the AAA's Consumer Arbitration Rules.
You waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action lawsuit. If arbitration is unavailable, disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York.
If you are a resident of the European Union, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction where local consumer protection laws override these provisions, those laws apply to the extent required.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you in the app and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
